A former Johnston County teacher and principal, Dr. Amelia McLeod has been a leader at the N.C. Department of Public Instruction since 2010 and now serves as the Director of Middle Grades Education. He’s also been telling stories with color, ribbon and beautiful blossoms as the long-time owner of the beloved 1940's floral shop, Annie V's, in Downtown Clayton, and NOW as an intentional floral designer with Syndicate Sales, traveling the country to teach his artistry to others. He has championed the value and critical importance of telling your town's and community's story. It’s the people who make Clayton great and he hopes everyone will share their Clayton stories.
